Read&Write App
Read&Write is a toolbar that offers help with everyday tasks like reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments and proofing written work. Read&Write App is available to all EAC students by downloading the app or using the EAC Library computers. How to Download Read&Write to Your Personal Desktop or Laptop Device
- Installing Read&Write for the Chrome browser on a Desktop/Laptop:
- After clicking the above link and beginning your download continue by confirming add extension:
- Find and pin the downloaded extension to your toolbar by clicking the "puzzle piece" located near the upper right corner of your browser:
- We now need to sign into your school associated Microsoft account which is the same as your Gila Hank account information.
- Double-click the purple extension we just pinned to your toolbar.
- You will be redirected to a separate sign-in page and will need to click "Sign in with Microsoft" using your Gila Hank account.
- Refresh or close down and reopen your browser for the new extension to become active and available.
- You are now able to access and utilize Read&Write by clicking the purple icon pinned to your toolbar.
- Further enabling of the "Screenshot Reader", shown as
requires an additional extension following many of the same steps we accomplished above.
- Click the Screenshot Reader icon where you will be taken to a separate webpage to download the "Screenshot Reader" extension.
- Begin your download by clicking "Add to Chrome"
- After beginning your download continue by confirming "Add extension":
- You will need to refresh or close down your browser for the new extension to become active and available.
How to Download Read&Write to Your Personal Desktop or Laptop Device

- After clicking the above link and beginning your download continue by confirming add extension:
- Find and pin the downloaded extension to your toolbar by clicking the "puzzle piece" located near the upper right corner of your browser:

- Begin your download by clicking "Get"
- After beginning your download continue by confirming "Add extension":
- You will need to refresh or close down your browser for the new extension to become active and available.
