NetTutor

For over 20 years, NetTutor has offered live tutoring on-demand, question drop-off, and writing feedback. Tutors are subject matter experts trained in how to translate tutoring best practices and learning strategies to support students online, one student at a time. Over 150 subjects are offered, including live tutoring for Math, Writing, and Student Success available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

To access NetTutor you must log in to Canvas and access the Online Tutoring service through one of your courses. Although each faculty member is encouraged to activate NetTutor within Canvas, all faculty may not. However, you may access all NetTutor subjects from its main menu once you arrive on its main home page. The screenshot on the right shows how you can access NetTutor (Online Tutoring) in Canvas.

Once a student enters NetTutor they are offered a list of subjects for which tutoring is available. Students may access tutoring services for any subject, no matter which course within Canvas that they accessed NetTutor.

NetTutor offers students the opportunity to upload papers for tutors to provide feedback. Most paper feedback is provided within 48 hours and students may retrieve paper feedback from the subject's Locker.

Although Live tutoring is available for many subjects 24/7, students may always elect to drop off a question rather than meet with a live tutor. Questions dropped off may be retrieved from that subject's Locker.

Each subject has a locker where live tutoring session recordings, paper feedback, and question feedback may be found. Students may review the previous sessions to refresh their knowledge or gather feedback on submitted papers and/or questions.
