WHO CAN USE EAC'S ALUMNI LIBRARY?

  • Current EAC students.
  • Graham County residents 16 years and older (residents under 16 years of age must sign up for a card with a parent present).
  • NAU and ASU students taking classes locally who are not Graham County residents.
  • Current Gila Community College students.

 

LIBRARY HOURS

 

FALL AND SPRING SEMESTERS

Monday - Thursday  7 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Friday  7 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sunday  6 - 10 p.m.

 

SUMMER SESSIONS

Monday - Thursday  7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Friday 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

 

*The library is closed on all College holidays.

*During holiday and vacation periods, the Library closes at 5
 p.m. the evening before a holiday and reopens from 6-10 p.m.
the day before classes resume.

*All holiday hours are posted.


 

 

LIBRARY RULES

 An EAC Alumni Library card is required to check out physical items or a media center computer;
 Children shall remain with an adult at all times;
 Personal cell phones must be silenced before entering the building;
 Cell phone use is allowed in Alumni Library. We ask, however, that patrons be mindful of others in the area and keep their conversations polite and respectful. Patrons may be asked to continue loud, disruptive or distracting phone calls in the library’s lobby or outside of the building.
 Snacks and covered beverages are permitted in study rooms and the common areas of the library. Meals or messy, noisy or strong-smelling foods are not permitted.  Consumption of food while using media center computers is not allowed.
 Delivery of food to the library is not permitted.
 Unattended food and/or beverages are subject to being disposed of by staff.
 Clean up any spills right away—if additional assistance is needed, contact library staff at the Circulation desk.
 Properly dispose of all food and trash.
 In accordance with EAC policy 7050.00 Tobacco-Free Environment: the use of tobacco in any form including cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, e-cigarettes, etc. is strictly prohibited in the library.

 

CHECK OUT PRIVILEGES
Books/Periodicals–You may check out up to 15 non-reserve items at a time, but only three nonfiction books may be checked out from the same Dewey number. Books may be checked out for two weeks and renewed twice. Periodicals may be checked out for two weeks with no renewals.

DVDs - Adults may check out five DVDs for a 7 day period. Audio Material - Up to five CD’s may be checked out for two weeks, with no renewals.

RESERVE ITEMS
Reserve items are materials which EAC instructors have set aside for special in-library use and have a shorter check-out time, usually one hour. Reserve items are available at the checkout desk. Reserve items are not allowed out of the building unless they have at least a one-day checkout period. You must be an EAC student and have a current EAC Library Card with you to use reserve items.

FINES AND LOST ITEMS

Fines are charged for overdue materials. If you have 
overdue materials and/or fines of $5 or more, you will not
be allowed to check out any additional items or use the
computers until the problem is resolved.

FINES

  • Books and magazines: 5¢ per day, per item
  • Reserve items: 50¢ per item, per period/day
  • DVDs: 50¢ per item, per day
  • CD-ROM: 50¢ per item, per day
  • Lost books: cost of the book plus $10 fee
  • Lost magazines: $5 each
  • Lost DVDs or CDs: $25 each (or actual price if higher)

There is also a charge for replacement library cards or
replacement barcodes.

PERIODICALS

Our collection of periodicals in paper format is housed upstairs and is
significantly supplemented by our online databases of full-text journal
and newspaper articles which are available via the library web page.
